I have always been mesmerized by the shape of the heart and I started drawing hearts at a very young age, but it wasn’t until I was in college when I took some classes of Mexican Art History when I really fell in love with the heart because of the influence of “Milagritos” (small traditional folk charms that are used as physical tokens of prayer, protection and gratitude.
Because of my spiritual path, I believe the heart is not only a physical organ but a center of intuitive perception, spiritual connection, and emotional vitality, the source of divine knowledge.
I have a collection of paintings and drawings of hearts but this is the first one on the list.
